I've recently bought a pair of Hein Gericke Rally GoreTex jobs - I hate getting wet feet :-. Haven't done enough miles in them yet to be objective about them but the seem OK up 'til now.

An update on my HG Rally Goretex boots: after 15,000 miles, both on and off road, they're still comfortable, fully waterproof and looking good. Recommended!

Alt-berg Bandogs-- 6 years old and still perfect. They have never let in rain, comfortable in cold weather, but not too hot in the summer either. Comfortable on the bike and I can walk all day in them without any discomfort, which for me is very important. No point in touring to far distanant places if you cant walk for more than 20 minutes cus' your boots are crippling your feet. The only down side for some folk is that they look a bit odd with leathers, but they are fine with fabric trousers. 8)
