KIDDIMOTO LAUNCHES LIFE-SAVING PARTNERSHIP WITH RIDERS FOR HEALTH

Kiddimoto – the toddler-friendly trainer bike that looks just like a motorbike – has teamed up with award-winning charity Riders for Health to help save lives in Africa.

Two special Kiddimoto bikes will be donated to Riders for Health (RfH) – the official charity of MotoGP – to be autographed by a host of stars from MotoGP, World Superbikes and British Superbikes. Troy Bayliss, Colin Edwards and Nicky Hayden were among the many famous names who lent their support 2005. This year the RfH Kiddimotos will be auctioned at the charity’s Day of Champions at Donington in June, with all proceeds going to Riders for Health.

Kiddimoto founder Simon Booth will also be offering Superbikes or Scramblers in the Riders for Health colours of orange, black and white. For every one of these special bikes sold, Kiddimoto will donate £5 to Riders for Health. The RfH Kiddimotos will be available from both Riders for Health and Kiddimoto, and you can see them at bike shows and events up and down the country this summer.

“I believe in the whole philosophy of Riders for Health,” said Simon Booth. “Their work in Africa saves lives, and I’m delighted to be raising awareness of their down to earth approach.”

“In Africa a child dies every 30 seconds from malaria, even though a simple mosquito net could mean the difference between life and death,” added Rachel Harrington, Riders’ communications officer. “That’s where motorcycles come in, helping health workers to cross vast distances of hostile terrain and deliver health care to the remote, rural communities who need it most. We are very grateful to Kiddimoto for their generous support, which will give a great boost to our African programmes.”

Riders for Health (RfH) works to improve the delivery of health care in Africa by ensuring that public health workers have reliable motorcycles that never break down. This means that they can reach remote, rural communities day in, day out, to provide the kind of regular health care that the developed world takes for granted.
